My hand forged penannular brooches are a beautiful and old-fashioned accent to your favorite cloak or shawl. Compliment your next renaissance-faire outfit with one-of-a-kind forged jewelry. My penannular brooches are made in several different style options. All are forged from 1/4" mild steel and shaped to your preferences.

Since the items are handmade, the dimensions vary slightly but you can expect your piece to be between 3" and 4" exterior dimension.

When selecting a brooch type, first choose whether you want a twist in it. If you have a preference on tightness of the twist, send me a message when you place the order. Secondly, select your finial end. Those are the fancy scrolled-up loop on the ends. The tightly-scrolled finial consumes more material, so the brooch is naturally smaller than ones with the open loop finial.

Warning: wearing a penannular brooch can be dangerous if not adorned properly. Make sure the pin faces off to your non-dominant side. The pin must not face upward or downward, or risk of injury is greatly increased. If the pin is facing to your non-dominant side, you are less likely to cross an arm over it and you certainly won't hurt yourself while bending. The risk of injury is still never 0, so practice caution and safety while wearing. Do not run or engage in intense physical activity. I am not responsible if you hurt yourself while wearing one of my brooches.
