This cooking plate style trivet is forged and chiseled with a triangular pattern around each of the rivets, which serve as legs. The trivet sits just about 1/4" off your counter, which will protect it from the heat radiating off your cookware. A mounting hole leaves room for hanging it on the wall--a great pair with a mini colonial hook from my shop. Seasoned with bees wax, the item is food safe which opens options for frying an egg or making toast on its surface. Simply care for it as you would with your cast iron cookware.
