5/16" Forged Pipe Tamper

$15.00
5/16" TAMPERS ARE MADE TO ORDER

LBC pipe tampers feature a pick on one end and a flat head on the other. The pick is used for scraping the bottom of an ash tray of a tobacco pipe bowl, while the blunt end is used to tamp down your herbs.

Each piece is forged from mild steel and hot-seasoned using canola oil. They're naturally non-stick and can be consistently "re-seasoned" to ensure a lifetime of use, even if the finish fades or rusts.

Cleaning is simple! Just apply some heat with a lighter to an end caked with grime, then wipe clean with paper towel to clean. Heat and re-season in the same way you do for your favorite cast iron pans, using food safe oil.

Sizing varies piece-by-piece, but in general these tamps measure roughly 4" (??mm) long and 5/16" (??mm) thick. Square Twisted tampers and Rope Twisted Tampers are forged slightly more in preparation for the twist, so the tamping ends are just a little under 5/16"/??mm (roughly 1/4"/??mm) for those types of tampers. For those of you who want a larger tamping end, I encourage you to instead check out our listing for 3/8" tampers.
